I took this photo of the full moon before the total lunar eclipse on 21 December 2010, which happened to be the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere. This is an event that has not taken place in some 500 years, so we wanted to watch. This was the view from our living room, with the reflection on our glass wall showing up as the second moon… Clouds eventually covered the moon fully so we could not see the eclipse itself. 🙁
